Andrea (she/her) is an outstanding Clinical Psychologist specialising in mental health, neurodevelopmental assessment in adulthood, working with families, and indigenous psychology.
Individuals who work with Andrea describe her as approachable, respectful, and knowledgeable. She provides a warm and welcoming experience. Her considered approach ensures integrity and draws on evidence-based methods.
Andrea's special interests and experience include adult ADHD assessment, working with adults to support their mental health and wellbeing, and forensic psychology. Andrea has experience applying Māori models of health, such as The Meihana Model, and completed research investigating how Māori cultural values can be used as a mechanism for change to address whānau (family) violence. She also draws from a background in work with young people, maternal mental health, and supporting families experiencing significant distress or trauma.
Outside of her psychology practice, Andrea enjoys spending time with her whānau, going running, and reading. Andrea is based in Waitaha Canterbury.
